Description
BOVI-DEKS is a fast-curing, polyurethane-based, two-component adhesive developed for bonding wooden or urethane blocks to cattle claws. The product’s curing time is between 20 and 30 seconds (at 20°C).
Purpose of Use :
Bovi-deks is designed to accelerate the healing process of diseases occurring in cattle claws, based on the principle of reducing the pressure on the diseased nail.
It is used to bond wood or urethane-based blocks to healthy nails.
Preparation of the Nail and Application of the Block:
After mechanical maintenance and cleaning of the nail, free nail pieces, dirt and dust are removed. Damp and wet nails are dried. This is important for ensuring complete adhesion. In addition, a rough surface will strengthen the permanence of the block.
The adhesive applied as a 15 cm strip on the block is quickly bonded to the nail to create a thickness of 3-5 mm and lightly pressed for 20-25 seconds.
After complete cure is achieved in 2 to 3 minutes, the animal can step on the nail.
Do not cover wet, bleeding or infected areas.
Preparation of the Cartridge:
Each chamber of the cartridges containing 2 components based on resin and polyurethane has a different component. The plug clamp at the tip is opened and the green sealing plug is removed, and the Dedeks
Adhesive Mixer tip is attached. It is locked by passing it over the clamp again. It is placed in the Dedeks Adhesive Application gun and made ready for use. The tip is held at a 45-degree angle towards the air to ensure that bubbles come out and the components are mixed at the correct ratio. This is important for proper curing.
It is applied on a wooden or urethane block. The mixer can remain in the cartridge after application. The mixer tip is disposable. The mixer tip is changed for each new application.
