Preparation :
Based on the bitch’s natural milk, the milk feed is prepared from 4 parts water (80%) and 1 part puppy milk (20%). Boil the water and whisk to dissolve the puppy milk in water at approximately 50°C. Prepare the milk fresh for each feeding and feed at body temperature (38°C). Do not let any leftover milk stand; discard it. Initially, feed every 2 hours, then every 4 hours toward the end of the nursing period. Allow a 6-8 hour night break.
Important instructions:
Adjust the feeding amount to the puppies’ individual needs. Full, content puppies suckle and sleep, but do not cry. Maximum hygiene is required: Clean feeding bottles, teats, etc., in boiling water before each use. From the 3rd to 4th week of life, slowly add Canina® Puppy Puree. From the 6th week of life, add Canina® Puppy Calcium.
Feeding recommendation per animal and day:
The body weight of the adult dog applies; the amount of milk in ml of puppy milk per meal:
1st and 2nd day of life (8*): ZR = 5 – 10 ml KR = 10 – 15 ml MR = 15 – 20 ml GR = 20 – 25 ml RR = 25 – 30 ml
3rd to 7th day of life (6*): ZR = 15 ml KR = 20 ml MR = 30 ml GR = 40 ml RR = 50 ml
8th to 14th day of life (5*): ZR = 20 – 25 ml KR = 30 – 35 ml MR = 40 – 50 ml GR = 60 – 70 ml RR = 70 – 80 ml
15th day of life until weaning (4*): ZR = 30 – 35 ml KR = 50 – 60 ml MR = 60 – 70 ml GR = 100 – 120 ml RR = 120 – 150 ml

ZR = Dwarf breeds up to 5 kg
KR = small breeds 5 – 15 kg
MR = medium breeds 15 – 25 kg
GR = large breeds 25 – 40 kg
RR = Giant breeds over 40 kg
The recommended feeding rate should not be exceeded. Very young puppies are fed with a dropper, older ones with a feeding bottle, and from the age of 4 weeks, even with a bowl. For feedings in addition to mother’s milk, the number of meals per day is reduced.
The simultaneous administration of vitamin D2 is not permitted.
